Eye for an Eye Dagger Tattoo


Here is a Dagger Tattoo I call "Eye for an Eye".  Yes, I got the idea from the Bible where it has mentioned, "Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" meaning that a punishment should equal the same as the injury.

The eye of the dagger is the injury done by a dagger and therefore the punishment will be taking of an eye with a dagger.

The claw of the handle that is holding the eye represents the animal like character of the person or thing that took the eye.

Of coarse this is my interpretation of the dagger as I was drawing it. I will be adding flowers to it so it has more life.

My wife Amy and I had a great weekend together. We stayed at a local hotel on Saturday to celebrate Valentine's because I have to work on Valentine's Day. Blending With Markers

Using markers as a medium is new to me. I have watched many tattoo art on Youtube.com but never could understand how to use the blending markers until I came across a blog called  " Marker to Marker Blending with the Colorless Blender " By Marianne Walker.  Marianne describes in detail how to blend without contaminating colors by using a colorless blender.
