Skull Dagger Tattoo

This is a skull dagger tattoo piercing the skin. The shaded part behind the art is not part of the design. I was trying to make it look like the skin. 

As you can already tell most of my work is done in pencil. I am working on revising my designs to look more tattoo friendly. Like using more of a uni-pen or sharpies. The problem is that it is a new medium I am trying because my work looks better in black and white.

Color is my biggest issue. I don't know why I am so scare of color but I am willing to step out of my comfort zone to try something different.

My wife Amy and I had a great weekend together. We stayed at a local hotel on Saturday to celebrate Valentine's because I have to work on Valentine's Day. During our stay I did a temporary tattoo on Amy's back using sharpies. I am really starting to like how the colors come together. Blending With Markers

Using markers as a medium is new to me. I have watched many tattoo art on Youtube.com but never could understand how to use the blending markers until I came across a blog called  " Marker to Marker Blending with the Colorless Blender " By Marianne Walker.  Marianne describes in detail how to blend without contaminating colors by using a colorless blender.
